Overview

The system combines satellite observations, weather data and hydrological modelling to estimate water flowing into Viet Nam from upstream areas where monitoring data are limited. Earth observation tools track reservoir water levels and estimate stored water, while an integrated platform produces daily, medium-term and seasonal river flow forecasts.

Training helps water planners use this information to allocate water, improve flood and drought preparedness and support management of the Hong-Thai Binh river basin.
