Overview

The project develops a national framework and feasibility study for organised green markets on New Providence Island, with standardised stalls and improved produce storage. Proposed designs combine solar power, energy-efficient infrastructure, water management and waste disposal and recycling.

Alongside policies to help street vendors move into these spaces and enter the formal economy, the approach aims to reduce exposure to climate hazards, protect livelihoods and make local food distribution more resilient.
