Overview
Agroforestry and soil stabilisation help reduce erosion and landslide risks, while rainwater management supports water supplies during drought. Co-designed with Lenca communities in Montaña de Celaque National Park, the project combines these measures with Indigenous knowledge, community-run early warnings and shared adaptation planning.
Two proposed business pilots will support women and youth to turn plastic packaging and agricultural waste into income opportunities, linking climate resilience with more inclusive livelihoods.
